How much does a caboose cost? |
The price of a caboose (like a car or house) can go from very low (or free) to over a hundred thousand dollars. Most cabooses now seem to be selling in the 10-20 thousand dollar range. Of course one in top condition will go for much more and you might get a bargain if someone is in a hurry to sell one.

Where can I buy a caboose? |
Our Links page lists some sites that sell cabooses. Rich Eichhorst, ARCHES president, often has some cabooses for sale. You can reach him at the address and/or phone number at the bottom this page. If you are a member of ARCHES you can ask other members for leads on the Members Bulletin Board page.

You might look for the XYZ railroad on the RR Historical Society Index Site on our Links page. Also on our Links page are some sites that have caboose photos that might help.
